Das Notopalaeognathae sind eine Gruppe Vögel gehört zu Paleognathen. Bis zu diesem Klade gehören die naja (Rheiformes), tinamous (Tinamiformes) und moas (Dinornithiformes) und die novaeratien.[1] Die Notopalaeognathae sind die Schwestergruppe der Strauße.
