Polycelis tibetica ist ein Plattwurm (Platyhelminthes). Der Wurm ist Zwitter. Die Art lebt in oder in der Nähe von Süßwasser.

Der Plattwurm gehört zur Familie Planariidae. Der wissenschaftliche Name der Art wurde, wenn Sorocelis tibetica, erstmals 1911 gültig veröffentlicht von Zabusov.[1] Die Art wird auch oft zitiert als Polycelis tibetica Hyman, 1934. Roman Kenko stellt in seinem Index von 1974 fest, dass Zabusovs Name von 1911 a Artenanfragen (eine unsichere Art), bezieht sich aber vermutlich auf dieselbe Art wie Hymans, in diesem Fall ist der letztere Name ein späteres Homonym.[2]
