Romaeidae sind eine Familie von rechtsextremInsekten gehört zu kurzatmig. Die Familie wurde erstmals wissenschaftlich veröffentlicht von Brunner-von Wattenwyl im 1893.[1]
Die Arten innerhalb der Familie kommen in den Neue Welt, mit Ausnahme von Kanada und Alaska.
