Xanthorrhoe ist ein Botanischer Name für eine Gattung von Monokotyledonen Pflanzen. Es umfasst mehrere Dutzend Arten, die in Australien.^[1] Es sind ansprechende Pflanzen, „Grasbäume“, die in Australien auch als „Blackboys“ bekannt sind.

Es APG II-System (2003) erlaubt zwei unterschiedliche Beschreibungen für die Familie Xanthorrhoeaceae: In jeder dieser beiden Optionen bildet diese Gattung allein die ganze Familie.
