Bathyplotes natans ist ein Seegurke von der Familie Synallactidae.

Der wissenschaftliche Name der Art wurde 1868 als Holothuria natans herausgegeben von Michael Sars. Im Jahr 1896 Hjalmar Östergren der erste, der die Art in die Gattung aufnimmt Badeplots platziert.
