acromyrmex ist ein Sex von Ameisen von dem Unterfamilie des Myrmicinae.
Verbreitung und Lebensraum
Die Arten kommen sowohl in den Tropen als auch im gemäßigten Klima Südamerikas vor, wo sie niedrige Temperaturen vertragen.
Reproduktion
Laut Camargo[1] sind Arbeiter von acromyrmex-Typen fruchtbar und sie können Eier legen, aus denen Männchen schlüpfen. Dies geschieht regelmäßig nach dem Tod der Königin.
