Das NBA Live Reihe von Basketballspielen herausgegeben von EA Sports, ist einer der meistverkauften NBA Simulationen auf dem Markt. Ihr einziger großer Konkurrent ist die NBA 2K-Serie von 2K Sport.
Die Serie begann mit NBA Live '95, und ist weiterhin jedes Jahr auf den großen Gaming-Plattformen zu sehen. Die einzige Ausnahme war NBA Live 2002, das nicht auf dem PC erschien.
Die NBA Live-Serie war ursprünglich für die Sega Genesis und der SNESSpielekonsole. Beide Versionen waren sehr ähnlich und die Hauptspielmodi waren in beiden Versionen verfügbar.
Die Plattformen, auf denen NBA Live 07 veröffentlicht wurde, sind Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable und Fenster. NBA Live 07 wäre auch ein Release-Titel für die Spielekonsole der "nächsten Generation" Playstation 3, wurde aber abgesagt.NBA Live 08 ist die neueste Version für den PC. NBA Live 09 und NBA Live 10 wurden nur für die Xbox 360, Playstation 3 und Wii.
Es gibt Einzelspieler-, Mehrspieler- und Online-Spieloptionen.
